The 2011-12 session of Strathkelvin Writers' Group will start on Tuesday 13 September with a talk from our honorary president, Margaret Thomson Davis. Her title "Starting from Scratch" will inspire and encourage all writers from beginners to those who are more experienced.

Margaret is author of more than 30 books. Her latest novel The Kellys of Kelvingrove was published in hardback in November 2010 and in paperback in May 2011.

There is a full programme for the coming year and amongst the subjects being covered are Writing for Children, Feature Writing, Drama Performance, Poetry, Short Stories, Marketing and Journalism. Strathkelvin Writers' Group is grateful for the support of East Dunbartonshire Arts Council for their sponsorship of some of the workshops in the programme.
